CUPE Requests Cancellation of Mediation, Move Directly to Arbitration for Wage Component
The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) has asked for the mediation process to be dispensed with and that the wage component proceed directly to arbitration. In August, Air Canada and CUPE reached a four-year tentative agreement for its flight attendants. Air Canada has announced that Montréal to Palma de Mallorca be the first brand new route to be operated by its Airbus A321 extra-long range (XLR) aircraft.
