WORLD TOUR: Celebrity adds South America
Celebrity Cruises has announced the next set of itineraries in “Celebrity’s World Tour,”the brand’s guest-inspired, destination-rich, modern luxury vacations to all seven continents of the world in 2014-15. Now open with “Priority Access”and exclusive offers for members of Celebrity’s Captain’s Club loyalty program are Celebrity’s exotic 2014-15 South America and Panama Canal vacations. The newly “Solsticized”Celebrity Infinity – enhanced with a series of guest-favourite attributes found on the brand’s widely heralded Solstice Class ships – will provide travellers with Celebrity’s modern luxury ambience and the breathtaking sights and exhilarating experiences of South America. Celebrity Infinity will visit 29 destinations in 13 countries during Celebrity’s 15th consecutive season in the region. The series begins with a 15-night Westbound Panama Canal voyage departing Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Nov. 4, 2014, with visits to Cartagena, Colombia; Colon, Panama; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The voyage is offered again March 29, 2015. Two 15-night Eastbound Panama Canal sailings depart from San Diego Nov. 19, 2014, and April 13, 2015, with visits to the same collection of captivating destinations. With two days in Panama, the voyages will allow guests to see the Canal from two perspectives: from the ship, as well as on land, complete with the opportunity to take an excursion to the site of construction of the new Canal locks. On Dec. 4, 2014, Celebrity Infinity sets sail on a 16-night voyage from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to Valparaiso, Chile, highlighted by the marvel and precision of passage through the Panama Canal, and an overnight stay in Lima (Callao), Peru, along with visits to Cartagena, Colombia; Colon, Panama; Manta, Ecuador; Arica and La Serena (Coquimbo), Chile. Infinity embarks on a 15-night voyage from Valparaiso, Chile, on Dec. 20, 2014, highlighted by rare passage through the Straits of Magellan, an overnight stay in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and visits to several destinations in the Patagonian region, including Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas and Cape Horn, Chile; Ushuaia and Puerto Madryn, Argentina; Punta Del Este and Montevideo, Uruguay. An overnight stay in Buenos Aires, Argentina kicks off Celebrity Infinity’s 14-night sailings on Jan. 4 and March 1, 2015, featuring passage through the Straits of Magellan and the majestic Chilean Fjords, along with visits to Montevideo and Punta Del Este, Uruguay; Puerto Madryn and Ushuaia, Argentina; Cape Horn, Punta Arenas and Puerto Montt, Chile. The voyage is offered in reverse order from Valparaiso to Buenos Aires Jan. 18, 2015, concluding with an overnight stay in Buenos Aires.
