Wilderness cruises start sailing from Pitt Meadows

Starting this month, Paddle Wheeler River Boat Tours in Pitt Meadows, BC will offer the Pitt Lake Wilderness Tour. The luncheon cruise departs from Pitt Meadows Airport on a catamaran passenger vessel for a narrated cruise from the Fraser River to Pitt Lake. The tour passes Douglas Island, a provincial wildlife preserve and its not uncommon to see black bear, deer, eagles, osprey and seals as the tour enters Pitt Lake. At Goose Island, passengers can view ancient native pictographs. Departures are on Thursdays, May through September and reservations are required. (http://www.vancouverpaddlewheeler.com)
