TuGo Enhancements Have Clients Covered
TuGo has announced that it has made further enhancements to its Traveller product to address COVID-19-specific concerns.
Brad Dance, Chief Customer Officer and THIA Past President, explained that: “TuGo has continued to listen to our customers and evolve our product offering to support them through their pandemic travels. And today, we’re pleased to announce that we’ll cover those who wish to begin cruising again too “Supporting the health, wellness and safety of our customers, and protecting their travel investments, are TuGo’s top priorities.”
TuGo’s Emergency Medical Insurance now offers COVID-19 coverage regardless of the travel advisory level as of Nov. 30, 2021.
TuGo has taken further steps beyond covering COVID-19 for vaccinated and unvaccinated Canadian travellers under a Level 3 (“avoid non-essential travel”) advisory, to also covering them under a Level 4 (“avoid all travel”) advisory—subject to vaccination requirements outlined in the policy.
As well it has added new Trip Cancellation & Trip Interruption Insurance COVID-19 and Cancel For Any Reason enhancements.
TuGo will now provide coverage for Canadians who must cancel or interrupt their trip as a result of a medical condition related to COVID-19. TuGo’s Cancel For Any Reason feature has also been updated to ensure increased flexibility, allowing customers who purchase this add-on feature to cancel up to 5 days (previously 10 days) before departure for any reason, and receive 50% of their pre-paid, unused non-refundable travel costs.
