Second Aloft opens in Canada

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. — along with Silver Hotel Group and Northampton Hotel Group — has opened its second Aloft location in Canada, the Aloft Vaughan Mills. Located in Vaughan, Ontario, the property joins the Aloft Montreal Airport which debuted as the world’s first in 2008 with the same ownership groups. Aloft is Starwood’s “style-at-a-steal” brand that now has 55 locations worldwide and has been designed to appeal to the digital generation. The Aloft Calgary University is set to open in early 2013 as one of the first hotel conversion projects for the brand.
