Ripley’s Myrtle Beach To Open Penguin Experience
Myrtle Beach’s Ripley’s Aquarium is in the midst of its largest expansion ever – with the addition of a Penguin Playhouse exhibit set to open in the first half of 2020.
According to Alexia Edge, sales manager for Ripley’s Myrtle Beach, the 5,500-square-foot addition will be an interactive experience and allow visitors to see African penguins up close and personal – both from above and below the water line.
Penguin encounters will include meet-and-greets and a chance to get a portrait with one the star attractions.
In other news, Myrtle Beach is helping visitors reclaim their summer with its “Stretch Your Summer” campaign.
“Many visitors know Myrtle Beach for its summertime fun, but fall is one of the destination’s best-kept secrets – offering warm temperatures, fewer crowds and incredible value for your money in the shoulder season,” said Karen Riordan, president and CEO of Visit Myrtle Beach. “For those who have the flexibility to travel off-season, it’s the perfect way to ‘Stretch Your Summer’ with a vacation before the end of the year.”
According to Visit Myrtle Beach, there are many ways visitors can stretch their summer” this fall, from stretching their budget with lodging and attraction deals, stretching their minds with arts and culture offerings, or stretching their limits with adrenaline-pumping activities.
