Let The Good Times Roll!
The annual US travel trade show IPW (International PowWow) kicked off this past weekend in New Orleans with over 6,000 buyers, suppliers and media in attendance, reports PressToday’s Mike Baginski.
Saturday and Sunday events throughout the French Quarter highlighted the city’s unique culture, including a Colorado reception at famed Preservation Hall that saw the legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band lead guests on a street parade through the Quarter.
Saturday night also featured Pride events on Decatur and Bourbon streets that added to the atmosphere, particularly given recent events in Orlando.
Portland, Oregon, hosted a lively reception for the large Canadian delegation on Sunday ahead of an opening night gala at the SuperDome, which featured multiple performers, including Dr. John, and a Mardi Gras parade with floats populated by VIP delegates like WestJet’s Tim Croyle and Air Canada Vacation’s Nancy Jeronimo (shown, centre), and TravelBrand’s Elvi Cal (not shown).
