Hawaiian Fairmonts earn ‘Gold’
Readers of Condé Nast Traveler have selected both Fairmont resorts in Hawaii for the magazine’s coveted Gold List, an annual ranking of the travel industry’s finest hotels, resorts and cruise lines. The Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui and The Fairmont Orchid on the Island of Hawaii have been voted among the best places to stay in the world based on location, activities, service and guestrooms. The Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea, Maui is also on the magazine’s new Platinum Circle List, a mark of distinction for ranking on The Gold List the past five years consecutively. Earning praise from readers for its all-suite accommodations and guest service, The Fairmont Kea Lani offers two- and three-bedroom villas steps from pristine Polo Beach. The award follows three years of renovations to the property, totaling over US$28 million. The Fairmont Orchid, an AAA Four Diamond resort on the Kohala Coast of the Island of Hawaii, was only one of two resorts on the island to earn the ranking. It was recognized for its location, service, Beachboys program and cuisine at the AAA Four Diamond award winning Brown’s Beach House. (http://www.fairmont.com)
