Globus, Cosmos release 2013 faith-based tours
In 2013, the Globus family of brands will continue to combine faith, fellowship and fun in its religious tours. The company, which is in its ninth year of offering faith-based holidays, will offer a host of itineraries in the Middle East and Europe. And for the first time, the company’s value-brand, Cosmos, will be offering tours with a spiritual theme. “Clients on these tours tell us they are not necessarily deeply devout,”says Stéphanie Bishop, managing director of the Globus family of brands in Canada. “But they have an abiding interest in religion, culture and history – and they love the chance to experience these countries with like-minded fellow travellers in a group.”Globus itineraries for 2013 encompass tours to Italy, Ireland, Germany, Greece and Turkey, the Middle East (Israel and Jordan), and one itinerary combines France with Spain and Portugal. Cosmos will take travellers to Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Israel from $130 per day (plus airfare). As an added incentive, travellers will enjoy group discounts starting with just eight travellers; and the company is happy to customize a group travel experience for a minimum of 20 passengers to make the experience even more meaningful. Recognizing that groups are a significant supporter of these tours, Globus will contribute $500 to $1,000 to any groups affiliated with a non-profit organization. All the groups need to do is book any 2013 Globus Religious tour to receive the donation ($500 for groups of eight to 25 travellers, 26 travellers or more receive a $1,000 donation). Another bonus is that all travellers will enjoy a 10% discount when they book and pay for the land portion of any Globus tour in full at least nine months prior to departure – a savings of up to $305 p.p.
