Expansion in the air at Golden Gate Hotel & Casino

Founded in 1906, the Golden Gate — Las Vegas’ original casino — is undergoing its first major expansion in 50 years. The landmark property in downtown Las Vegas will add a 3,150-square-metre, five-storey luxury tower with 16 hotel suites, including two penthouses, an extended casino floor, a high-limit gaming pit and a new lobby where artifacts from the hotel’s notable past will be displayed. The new tower will also feature a porte-cochere designed to provide convenient valet parking. Renovations are scheduled for completion by July.
