Every Voyage Is An Event With Cunard
Cunard says it’s had plenty of time to hone the art of creating enjoyable and interesting cruises for those who like to vacation at sea.
Monika Pasquerello, a Cunard BDM, told a Tuesday Baxter Media webcast that Cunard’s long history has ensured it has made an impressive impact in the cruise trade.
“Cunard is an innovator,” she said, noting it was the first cruise company to offer an around-the-world itinerary, with that sailing having taken place in 1922.
“We’ve been doing this (providing cruise vacations) for over 180 years…
“Cunard is continuing to evolve. There is always something new.”
Cunard “Event Voyages” can focus on food, dance and other topics.
Pasquerello said Cunard has a varied activities program, pointing to the likes of ballroom dancing, with the company having the largest dance floor at sea.
Cunard has vessels in many parts of the world, and Cunard itineraries can deliver passengers to such far-flung locales as Istanbul, Dubai and Sydney.
Pasquerello said Cunard can provide “luxury on a grand scale” and black tie dress is “the norm” at Gala Evenings, although other ship areas will feature more casual dress.
She said Cunard clients will find “an incredibly high level of service and attention.”
Cunard will launch a ship called the Queen Anne next year and that vessel will homeport in Southampton and offer Europe sailings.
Pasquerello said early booking benefits are available for those wanting to sail on the upcoming ship.
Meanwhile, Charles Sylvia of Cruise Lines International Association, used the webcast to praise Cunard, stating, “There is something for everyone aboard a Cunard vessel. ”
