CWT Canada celebrates
Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) Canada’s 2013 owner/manager meeting was recently held at the El Dorado Spa Resorts and Hotels by Karisma in Riviera Maya, Mexico, with more than 140 professionals in attendance, including owners, managers and suppliers. Participants gathered to collaborate, network and share strategies focusing on CWT’s key goal in 2014 – “to delight, drive and deliver.”
“We’re always inspired by the spirit and enthusiasm of our owners and managers when we gather at events like this to share ideas and best practices,” said Louise Gardiner, senior director of leisure travel for CWT Canada. “The response has been overwhelming from the attendees, reinforcing for us that travel truly is a personal experience, and that face-to-face time and collaboration is invaluable.”
Attendees also participated in various breakout and roundtable education sessions, and were treated to a Mexico Night sponsored by Transat Holidays and Beach BBQ sponsored by Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations. The conference concluded with a Gala Awards ceremony, celebrating the success of individuals and teams. CWT’s Regina office, managed by Brenda Bitz, and CWT Reichert Travel in Regina, owned and operated by Tom Bellamy and Will Shiplack, were named “Branch of the Year.” “Team of the Year” went to the CWT Concierge team managed by Kim Cross, in recognition of client satisfaction, customer service and business growth.
