Cruising With Jann Arden on Avalon

Music was in the air on a recent Avalon Waterways’ Blue Danube Discovery cruise from Budapest to Prague.

Jann Arden, much-loved and award-winning Canadian musician, entertainer and author escorted this departure which featured a concert with her own band and a signing of her new book, Feeding My Mother, for each passenger.

A highlight for many was a private concert for the Avalon passengers given by the local men’s choir in Regensberg, Germany, during which the men performed their own version of the Arden hit Good Mother.

““It was great fun to travel with Jann again,” said Kim Clarke, Canadian director of sales for the Globus family of brands, Avalon’s parent company, who was also on the cruise.

“She is so approachable and funny and our guests loved having the chance to chat with her one-on-one and of course get photos! With just 160 passengers on board, it was a very intimate and personal experience,” Clarke added.

Arden has a special connection to Avalon, acting as Godmother of the Avalon Tranquility II in 2015 and escorting another cruise in 2017.

The next Jann Arden cruise with Avalon is planned for 2021.
