Somebody who has already done the tourist circuit, and now they want to do something different and spend a little bit more time in the heart of the destination. That's the kind of stuff we're looking for – really off-the-beaten track,” says Alan Law, director...

In fact, says Patricia Schultz, this great wide world of ours holds many more places she gladly set foot in.
Schultz, who estimates she's seen 80% of the far-flung places she sings the praises of in her book, says the number of locales she's touting has easily topped 1,000, thanks to her merging some parts of the world that weren't initially mentioned in her travel guide with other areas.
And, continues Schultz – in Toronto yesterday (Nov. 7) for...

Several members of the travel industry turned out to help Collette lend a helping hand to those in need Nov. 3.
The endeavour, as PressToday's Mike Baginski learned, was part of the Collette Cares program, which on this day consisted of making meals at Eden Food For Change in Western Mississauga – a charity that serves 400 households a month with both fresh and packaged food items. People can donate food or cash, or, like Collette, come in and make meals under the supervision of Chef Peter Costello.
The special du jour was tourtiere and getting into, literally up to the elbows,...
