Tauck waives Category 1 single supplement fees
Good news is at hand for solo travellers frustrated by paying a higher per-person cabin rate than cruisers sharing a stateroom with a spouse or friend. TradeWinds unveils 2013 rates, commissions
TradeWinds, the luxury all-inclusive cruise operator, has announced its rates for 2013, as well as a special incentive for travel agents, who can now receive a 15% commission throughout the year (high, low and mid-seasons). Rates start from US$2,925 for a cabin rental in a shared cabin during the low season in the cruising class. Demand pushes cruise fares up
The American Queen Steamboat Company reports that it will raise fares beginning Jan. 1, 2013, as a result of unprecedented demand for the upcoming second season of the American Queen. According to the operator of the 436-passenger riverboat, many of next year's sailings are selling out, particularly voyages between the paddlewheeler's homeport of Memphis and New Orleans.
