Ethiopian Airlines has picked EuroLink, as its GSA in Canada. The carrier is the first African airline to begin non-stop service from Toronto to Addis Ababa with connections to over 66 international and 17 domestic destinations. Air Canada, IAMAW proceed to final offer arbitration
Air Canada reports that the negotiation phase preceding the arbitration with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) has been completed. The IAMAW represents 8,600 mechanics, baggage handlers and cargo agents employed by Air Canada, and its collective agreement expired on March 31, 2011. United Airlines reports that it has reached several new agreements for employees represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM). United and the IAM reached a tentative agreement for an initial collective bargaining agreement covering pilot ground school instructors from the company's Continental subsidiary. IATA looking for ground cooperation
During its Ground Handling Conference, IATA set priorities for improving safety and reducing aircraft damage in ground operations.
