WestJet Adds Winnipeg-Ottawa Non-Stop Connectivity
WestJet has added to to its winter schedule with an extension of direct service between Winnipeg and Ottawa. Previously set to temporarily pause on Oct. 29, 2023, WestJet will be the exclusive carrier providing essential service on the popular route, offering four weekly connections between Manitoba and Canada's capital cities. IATA is reporting that the post-COVID recovery momentum continued in July, Highlights include: * Total traffic in July 2023 (measured in revenue passenger kilometers or RPKs) rose 26.2% compared to July 2022. Porter Airlines is celebrating the first flights with its Embraer E195-E2 aircraft between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and St. John’s International Airport (YYT).
