The 11th Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup took place in Toronto on Aug. 26 and the stakes were high as the tournament winner would represent Toronto at the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Grand Finals in Türkiye. Porter Airlines set to take off from London International Airport
Porter Airlines is launching service in London, Ont., for the first time in the airline’s history. Starting in November, London International Airport (YXU) will see four nonstop seasonal routes to sunny southern destinations in Florida, Jamaica and Mexico. It’s a good day for good news as WestJet’s flight attendants – represented by CUPE 8125 – have ratified their new collective agreement with a 90.2% vote in favour of the deal. Air Canada has finalized the terms of its previously announced substantial issuer bid (the “offer”) under which it will offer to purchase for cancellation up to $800 million of its Class A variable voting shares and Class B voting shares (collectively, the “shares”).1 The offer will proceed by way of a “modified Dutch auction”, allowing shareholders to tender all or a portion of their shares at a price ranging from $29.00 to $33.00 per share, in increments of $0.10 per share.
