TAP Has Record 2017
TAP Air Portugal closed 2017 with record passenger numbers, having boarded 14 million passengers, representing a 21.8% increase over 2016. TAP secured a load factor of 82.9%, a 4.4% increase over 2016. 2017 was also a banner year of growth for TAP's global network. The airline now serves 83 destinations (up eight over 2016) in 34 countries (four more than last year). WestJet set two records this week for guests flown in a single day. On Wednesday (Dec. 20), the airline flew just over 75,000 guests, while today (Dec. 22) the airline will fly an estimated 80,000 guests across its network.
