Breezes set to host ‘Zumba & Pilates Week’
Guests are invited to shake it up and stretch it out when Breezes Grand Negril Resort & Spa in Jamaica hosts “Zumba & Pilates Week”Aug. 5-11. In addition to the resort’s regular Super-Inclusive activities, these special complimentary core-strengthening Pilates and Latin-dance inspired Zumba classes will be led daily by New York-based Aerobics and Fitness Association of America instructor Linda A. Robinson. Each class, which welcomes guests of all activity levels, will be followed by a “healthy eating”break featuring exotic fruits and nutritious snacks. Every morning at 9 a.m., Robinson will teach a beachside Pilates class designed to increase the balance, flexibility and strength of the body. Pilates is a full body workout that helps to not only build core strength, but lengthen muscles and heighten awareness and control of one’s body and breathing. Every afternoon at 4 p.m., guests will melt calories away while they move their hips with Robinson and the latest workout craze – Zumba, a Latin-inspired dance fitness class. Her classes are high-energy, aerobic “parties,”and are easy to follow with upbeat music and choreography incorporating hip-hop, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, martial arts and some Bollywood and belly dance moves. Rates during the Aug. 5-11 “Zumba & Pilates Week”start at US$250 p.p. per night, based on double occupancy, with a three-night minimum stay. (http://www.breezes.com)
