BAY OF ISLANDS WINS ANDERSON COVER CONTEST

In preparation of its soon-to-be-released 2014 Downunder Destination Planner, Anderson Vacations invited travel agents to participate in an August Cover Contest in search for the ideal cover visual. Of five possible covers (Bay of Islands, NZ, Great Ocean Road, AUS, Sydney Harbour Bridge, AUS, Lake Tekapo, NZ, Tathra Beach with Kangaroo, AUS), the overwhelming majority of agents voted for the iconic photo of the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. The winner (picked from all entries) of a lunch for the entire agency delivered by a regional Anderson BDM was Elaine Kerr from Goliger’s Travel Plus in Stratford, Ont.

The Downunder Destination Planner with the new cover is due to hit agency shelves in November. Products featured in the new 164-page 2014 Downunder Destination Planner will range from selected sample FIT itineraries, fully escorted tours, Anderson Exclusive’s, luxury travel products, rail journeys, and new niche specialty products, and will be a snapshot of the company’s inventory for destinations in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands.
