Back to school with TDC
Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) recently held training events in Toronto and Montreal for travel professionals new to its network. These four-day events, part of TDC’s Travel University training program, are designed to display a firm commitment to franchises, affiliates and corporate employees of all levels – right from junior consultants with little or no experience up to branch managers and owners. “We want to welcome them into the Transat family and provide all the tools they need for success,” explained Joanne Hutchinson, training specialist. And with 50 presenters from Transat A.T. inc., Transat Discoveries, Transat Tours Canada and the TDC operations, industry relations and marketing teams, it truly was a ‘family affair.’ Those attending the events took part in sessions that covered company background, technology tips, sales, customer service, and agency best practices. TDC’s exclusive programs such as the AIR MILES Reward Program, Transat Travel Insurance, Travel Currency Exchange and the new Star Traveller Best Customer Program were also covered in detail. Product training and event sponsorship was provided by TDC’s preferred partners including: Travcorp, Walt Disney Resorts, Rocky Mountaineer, Royal Caribbean, WestJet and Collette Vacations.
