Air Transat Ups Lift On Key Routes
Air Transat is ramping up its flight schedule in the next couple of months in order to meet the sustained demand from travellers.
The company intends to increase its overall capacity on certain routes, improving its international offering from Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto as well as its domestic program.
Joseph Adamo, Transat’s chief sales and marketing officer, said that: “Last July, we resumed operations in a gradual manner, stating that we would study the evolution of demand very closely. As anticipated, the latent demand for travel is there, which now allows us to expand our offering and help our customers rediscover the joy of travel.”
The first flight on these routes has been advanced:
- Quebec City – Cancun starting Oct. 24, 2021
- Quebec City – Puerto Plata starting Nov. 5, 2021
- Montreal – Puerto Plata starting Oct. 14, 2021
New frequencies have been added on these routes:
South
- Montreal – Punta Cana: one additional frequency per week from Sept. 4 through Oct. 30, 2021.
- Montreal – Cancun: one additional frequency per week from Aug. 29 to Dec. 6, 2021.
- Montreal – Pointe-à-Pitre: one additional frequency per week from Dec. 15, 2021, to Feb. 9, 2022.
- Montreal – Fort-de-France: one additional frequency per week from Dec. 15, 2021, to Feb. 9, 2022.
- Montreal – Port-au-Prince: one additional frequency per week from Oct. 10 to Oct. 31, 2021.
- Quebec – Punta Cana: one additional frequency per week from Nov. 4 to Dec. 9, 2021.
Europe
- Montreal – Paris: now one flight per day is offered.
- Toronto – Porto: one additional frequency per week from Nov. 4, 2021, to Feb. 10, 2022.
Domestic
- Montreal – Vancouver: additional frequencies have been added from Oct. 3, 2021, through Feb. 11, 2022.
- Toronto – Vancouver: additional frequencies have been added from Oct. 6, 2021, to Dec. 10, 2021.
