Adventure Canada Makes Vaccinations Mandatory
Adventure Canada is mandating that all passengers, expedition team members, and crew now require full vaccination against COVID-19 to travel aboard its Ocean Endeavour voyages — including those in the Arctic, Atlantic Canada, and Europe.
This policy follows the Canadian government announcement that as of Nov. 1, 2021, Canada’s borders will once again be open to ship-based tourism for individuals fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
As leaders in the expedition travel industry for over 30 years, Adventure Canada takes the ongoing health and safety concerns of all its guests, community hosts, expedition team and crew very seriously.
The company notes that guests who currently have bookings and do not obtain a COVID-19 vaccination are eligible for a full refund.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic the family-owned expedition company has responded swiftly and thoroughly with policies that not only protect their guests and crew, but also the communities in which they visit.
In preparation for the upcoming operating season, and in consultation with best practice recommendations from the Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators (AECO) and the World Health Organization, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Adventure Canada has developed and adopted new guiding principles under the categories of Clean Ships, Healthy People, Responsible Experiences, and Community Commitment.

Adventure Canada has not operated expeditions since the close of its 2019 season. It is committed to returning to operation with safety at top of mind, and in full collaboration with government, medical and regional authorities, as well as community partners.
The company has been awarded a Safe Travels certificate by the World Travel & Tourism Council and the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario, this accreditation recognizes them as a global leader in adopted health and hygiene protocols and confirms a commitment to putting the safety, health, and security of guests, staff, and crew before all else.
