A Beautiful Gathering For A Beautiful Game
The fun continues …
Tuesday saw Baxter Media hold the second of its World Cup soccer tournament Toronto parties for the travel industry, with a crowd gathering to watch Mexico and Poland fight to a scoreless draw.
Those on hand at the Chelsea Hotel’s Monarch Pub welcomed the opportunity to gather with industry counterparts, many of whom they hadn’t seen in a long time. Juan Carlos Jouvin of Polo Travel thanked Baxter Media, Aeromexico, Mayan Riviera, Oasis and MSC Cruises for hosting the event.
“It’s great to get together with old friends,” he added.
His thoughts were echoed by Michele Martinson of Aeromexico. “It’s always special to get together with our partners.” Martinson’s Aeromexico colleague Cesar Alvarenga also welcomed the opportunity to reunite with people he hadn’t seen for some time.
Eloy Govea, who ran the Cuba Tourist Board’s Toronto office for several years and is now with Air Canada Vacations, said he was “super happy” to see “the travel family getting together,” while Roberto Yanqui of Martour said he welcomed seeing “all the industry colleagues,” many of whom he hadn’t see since the onset of the pandemic.
Both Govea and Yanqui were quick to thank the event’s sponsors.
