Remembering Agnes
Current and former members of the travel industry gathered in downtown Toronto Wednesday to remember the late Agnes Couper, a former travel agent and Cuba Tourist Board employee, with friends and former coworkers recalling time they spent with someone whose work career once saw her serve as a nanny to Queen Elizabeth’s children.
Longtime friend Karen Fawcett read tributes and expressions of condolences, including ones from the Queen and Prince Charles.
Couper’s lengthy travel industry career included a long tenure with the Cuba Tourist Board and current and former staffers from it were on hand. Pictured are Nieves Ricardo of the tourist board, Fawcett, Bert Kivimaki and former Cuba Tourist Board employee Sylvie Guerron.
