A Journey Through Time
Bestway Tours & Safaris has launched a new 13-day journey featuring Egypt. The theme of the tour is to trace Egypt’s rich heritage through the ages. Guided by experienced English-speaking Egyptologists, participants will follow the footsteps of over 5000 years of history. On the “Egypt: A Journey through Time” tour, participants visit major highlights of the country accompanied by a specialist guide. The tour starts in the historical city of Alexandria followed by the nearby ruins of the Early Christian holy city of Abu Mena.
At Cairo, Egypt’s capital, visits to the Egyptian Museum, Memphis and its Necropolis and the Pyramid Fields from Giza to Dahshur. Guests then explore the Nubian Monuments with an overnight stay at Abu Simbel. Joining the Nile Cruise at Aswan, visits include Philae and Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor, including Ancient Thebes with its Necropolis, the Valley of Kings and Karnak Temple. To see all the sites at Luxor an additional post-cruise night has also been included.
The tour costs CDN$2,760 and includes airfare from Toronto, domestic air fares, deluxe hotel accommodation, a four-day cruise on the River Nile with most offshore excursions, 25 meals and guided visits to the most important sites of Ancient Egypt, Early Christian Egypt and Medieval Islamic Egypt. Group size has been limited to 20 participants only.
Two group departures are scheduled for 2015: April 4 and Sept. 26, 2015.
