Discover America Canada, an organization that aims to develop and facilitate the promotion of tourism to the United States, has announced the date for its upcoming AGM.
Taking place on March 27 at Toronto’s Boulevard Club, Discover America will provide a comprehensive review of last year’s successes and outline its plans for 2024.
About the guest speaker
This year’s guest speaker is Barry Choi, an award-winning travel and personal finance expert, Globe and Mail columnist and regular on-air guest for TV shows in Canada and the U.S.
Choi will share his insights on Canadian loyalty programs to help members and guests ensure that they are maximizing their potential and using loyalty programs as an important tool to keep customers coming back.
“Having attended Discover America Canada events in the U.S. and Canada, this is an exciting opportunity to talk about something I’m passionate about,” Choi said. “Destinations are quick to appeal to foodies, families, and luxury travellers, but there’s been a lack of effort to attract those who are obsessed with points. Understanding how Canadians view loyalty points is essential, as it’s potentially an untapped market.”
This year’s AGM will be sponsored by member Visit Rochester, the official tourism promotion agency for Greater Rochester and Monroe County.
