Air Canada makes changes to baggage fees

Air Canada has announced that it is revising its checked baggage policy for customers who purchase an Economy Basic or Standard fare on or after February 28, 2024, for travel:

• within Canada
• between Canada and the U.S
• between Canada/the U.S. and the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America

As a result, for those customers, checked baggage fees, per direction, will be as follows:

• 1st bag: CA/US $35.00
• 2nd bag: CA/US $50.00

Air Canada’s move follows similar changes that WestJet and a number of U.S. carriers have made cto their baggage fees.
