TICO now recruiting for Consumer Advisory Council
Last week, TICO launched recruitment for its Industry Advisory Council (IAC), providing Ontario’s travel industry with a new way to share input on the way travel consumer protection is delivered in the province.

Recruitment for TICO’s Consumer Advisory Council
TICO is launching the recruitment process for its new Consumer Advisory Council (CAC), which will provide guidance and advice to TICO regarding Ontario’s travel consumer protection laws from a consumer’s perspective.
In addition to recruiting consumer members, there are up to three positions available for industry members whose role is focused on the consumer perspective.
For example, this could include individuals who oversee customer experience, customer service, complaints or related functions within a travel agency or tour operator. For more information, please click here.
To apply for the CAC
To apply for the CAC, you will need to complete a two-step process:
- Complete a brief application form
- Email your resume to CACapplications@tico.ca
If you know of a consumer who would be a good fit for this council, we encourage you to share this information with them. Only short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview.
The deadline for applications for the CAC is Friday, Feb. 23, 2024 at 4 pm. As a reminder, the deadline for the IAC is one week earlier.
Please note, individuals can only participate on one TICO council. If you have already applied for the IAC but would prefer to be considered for the CAC instead, please email IACapplications@tico.ca.
