Direct Travel recognizes 25 all-star advisors on top producer’s trip
Direct Travel recently hosted 25 of its travel advisors from across North America on a top-producers’ trip.
The nine-day trip to Europe included a stay at Munich’s The Charles, a Rocco Forte Hotel, a day trip to Nuremberg complements of A&K and an Ama Waterways river cruise from Nuremberg to Amsterdam on board the AmaCerto.
“This was our sixth GEM trip and a wonderful opportunity to network with some of our most productive and enthusiastic agents,” says Gerard Bellino, EVP Leisure at Direct Travel. “Not only did the advisors experience some of our wonderful luxury travel product, but also spent time networking with some of our senior management and suppliers.”
In all, 42 participated in the trip including 24 winners, four Direct Travel executives, the Direct Travel leisure leadership team and nine supplier partners.
Direct Travel’s GEM Recognition program celebrates remarkable achievements of top-performing advisors who go above and beyond, not only in driving sales but also in delivering unmatched service to their clients and supporting Direct’s strategic partners.
Advisors earned the exclusive GEM trip by supporting strategic partners in seven categories recognizing North American and regional winners.
“I think it’s safe to say we started the trip as colleagues and truly ended it as friends,” says Tami Brown, Direct’s vice-president of human resources. Other Direct executives accompanying the group were Darryl Hoover, chief technology officer, Helen Leon, president, USA West region and Bellino.
“This trip was truly amazing, probably one of the best trips I have been on in 20 years in the travel industry! The Direct Travel team is fantastic and I am lucky to be part of this organization,” added Shanon Roberts, leisure branch supervisor in Vernon, B.C.
