TRAVELSAVERS Dine & Discover In Burnaby
A strong turnout of about 40 travel agent members of the TRAVELSAVERS Canada consortium were in attendance at an exclusive event in Burnaby, BC recently.
TRAVELSAVERS hosted its first Dine & Discover event of the season in late October at the Burnaby Mountain Clubhouse. Twelve presenting suppliers were in attendance, including Collette Tours, Travel Brands, WestJet Vacations, Manulife and Uniworld River Cruises.
Dine & Discover events are designed to facilitate meaningful one-on-one connections between owners, advisors and preferred supplier partners in the travel industry, said Emma Madsen, director of business development for TRAVELSAVERS Canada. Over the course of the evening, industry professionals are given the opportunity to network and exchange insights on the latest product offerings and trends.
“The face-to-face networking at every event I attend with TRAVELSAVERS is invaluable to the success of my agency,” said Allayne Clark, owner of K Banks Travel in Penticton BC. Virtual meetings can’t compare, said Clark.
“There is lots of time for interaction with suppliers and owners as well as great presentations with useful, educational topics,” said Svetlana Senyuk, president of Maxima Travel International in Burnaby.
TRAVELSAVERS Canada has added 80 new members to its roster over the last 12 months, signalling substantial growth for the consortium. Amongst the new agency members is the Great Canadian Travel Group in Manitoba and the Tisson Travel Group in Alberta, as well as 510 Travel in Ontario.
Leading with impact, engagement and a commitment to service, TRAVELSAVERS Canada is laser-focused on the health of its affiliates and partners, said Madsen.
A Dine & Discover event will be held in Toronto on Nov. 9.
