TravelBrands Tees Up $300,000 For The SickKids Foundation
Clearly, the travel industry has a heart and it showed it at TravelBrands 8th Annual Charity Golf Classic, which raised close to $300,000 for a good cause.
Held at the Eagles Nest Golf Club late last week, the event — a beacon of solidarity for the travel industry — rallied unwavering support from 144 partners and industry colleagues, resulting in a staggering $296,646 raised in support of the Labatt Family Heart Centre at The Hospital for Sick Children.
While so close to $300,000, a generous participant added to the amount to make it even. This donation symbolizes hope for the heartbreaking battles that so many children and families are facing.
TravelBrands’ Nathalie Tanious addresses those attending this year’s tournament.
Nathalie Tanious, President and CEO of TravelBrands, observed: “Our Annual Charity Golf Classic is always an event we look forward to. As a proud SickKids Foundation donor, our collective efforts have now raised over $2 million for SickKids to help enhance and save countless lives in their cardiac department.”
Tanious continued: “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our exceptional partners, dedicated colleagues, shining staff, and all our friends in the travel industry for coming together to make this possible.”

Participants were blessed with wonderful weather throughout the day, enjoying a myriad of activities, including contests throughout
The course, a delicious oyster bar, a relaxation station, the event’s pièce de résistance – the helicopter ball drop, and, back by popular demand, the mechanical bull. The day reached its zenith with an exquisite dinner, featuring both a silent and live auction, and an emotionally charged address by SickKids Alumni, Brianna Buckle, who received a heartfelt standing ovation.
Beyond the annual Charity Golf Classic, TravelBrands demonstrates its commitment to the SickKids Foundation through various charitable initiatives, including an employee 5-kilometre walk and SickKids Day, during which 1% of all sales are generously donated to the foundation.
