Come On Barbie, Let’s Go To The Movies With Santa Monica

Santa Monica Travel & Tourism hosted a select group of travel trade types to a night at the movies for a private screening of the summer blockbuster, Barbie by Oscar Nominee, Greta Grewig.

Sana Keller of Santa Monica Travel & Tourism, welcomed the group, telling them that the top grossing film of 2023 has lots of connections to the destination, pointing to scenes filmed at the Santa Monica City Hall and Tongva Park.

Of note, as well, is the fact that the World of Barbie Exhibition is now on in Santa Monica and will run well into September.

And while Barbie may be the draw for some to visit the destination, Keller pointed out that there’s lots more on offer and for Canadians, Santa Monica is easily accessible with flights offered by Air Canada, WestJet and Transat.

All in all, word has it that a trip to Santa Monica will be, as Barbie says, ‘the best day ever.’
