Tour of Alberta pro cycle race set for September

The province of Alberta will soon be home to the newest pro-cycling event on the international cycling circuit — The Tour of Alberta. It is scheduled to be held in September. The tour will be a six-day stage race, starting in Edmonton on Sept. 3 and ending in Calgary on Sept. 8, with stages through rural Alberta. As an annual event, it will feature up to 16 international cycling teams, comprised of eight riders per team. It is expected to host riders from over 20 countries around the world.
