Pacific Coach wins 2012 tourism award from Skal
SKAL International Vancouver has announced Pacific Coach as the recipient of the 2012 Skal International Vancouver, Bill Rowe Tourism Award. With more than 50 years as a private sector corporation, Pacific Coach has contributed to the development of tourism in BC. It provides scheduled service between Vancouver/Victoria, and Vancouver/Whistler as well as offering charter services for groups throughout the region. It was one of the first companies to offer inter-modal services with BC Ferries, and also created a seamless network linking tourism points of entry like the cruise ship terminals and Vancouver Airport to downtown Vancouver, Victoria and Whistler. As well, Pacific Coach has been a community leader, with particular emphasis on support for under-privileged children through the Kids Up Front organization, comprised of 113 registered, child-serving agencies. Pacific Coach joins an impressive list of companies and individuals that have received the Bill Rowe Tourism Award, including the Vancouver Attractions Group, the Canadian Tourism Commission and Jim Storie for the Vancouver Trolley Company.
