RIU goes wireless
RIU Hotels & Resorts will introduce of wireless Internet in its hotels in the Americas. Guests at RIU resorts in Mexico, Punta Cana, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Aruba, Florida and Costa Rica can receive high-quality Internet connection in communal areas and rooms. In the Riu Palace range, the service will be free as of Nov. 1. Riu Classic hotels will still offer free Internet access in the lobby, and guests will also have the option to purchase a connection in the rooms and other communal areas. All RIU guests will be able to connect to the Internet using their own devices in all communal areas and rooms. For guests not travelling with their own equipment, there will still be the Business Corners in the Sports Bars and Lounge 24. There, guests can pay for the use of a computer and connection. Puerto Plata is the last destination to incorporate this service. There, the Riu Bachata will soon begin work to install the necessary equipment to be able to offer it. (http://www.riu.com)
