BodyHoliday, Rendezvous Reopen In Saint Lucia
Saint Lucia’s BodyHoliday and Rendezvous resorts have reopened and are welcoming guests with new wellness programming and new private accommodations.
BodyHoliday
Wellness travel will be the focus in the post-pandemic era with travelers looking to enhance their wellbeing. According to a new global survey by American Express, sixty-eight percent of world travelers said they would base their next trip around their mental and physical health.
Andrew Barnard, executive director, Sunswept Resorts [BodyHoliday, Rendezvous], observed that: “The pandemic has changed the definition of wellness – broadening the way we think about taking care of our mind, body and spirit, how we take care of ourselves,” “Self-care is more important than ever now, whether that be a regimented fitness routine, new nutritional program, or cocktails on a beach.”
Rendezvous
According to the BBC, there was a 34% spike in divorces during the COVID-19 pandemic. Adults only Rendezvous, located on Malabar Beach’s soft white sands, is the ultimate beach vacation for couples looking to rekindle and reinvigorate their relationship. The concept of the boutique resort is based around couples making up for ‘Stolen Time’ and stealing back time for each other. Rendezvous is aimed at all types of guests: the foodie couple can enjoy three restaurants and three bars, including French/Caribbean fusion at The Trysting Place, the laid-back couple can book their spa appointments at The Spa in the Water Garden, or the more active couple can enjoy a plethora of adventures together like scuba diving, tennis, golf or sailing.
Nightly rates start at $800 per night for BodyHoliday and $550 for Rendezvous. Both resorts have implemented health and safety protocols as per the CDC guidelines to ensure adoption of the highest possible hygiene standards and social distancing measures.
