Expedia’s insiders select their picks

Expedia.ca has released its 2012 Insiders’ Select, a list of the top 650 hotels from around the world. The Insiders’ Select rankings are largely determined by the more than 500,000 Expedia customer reviews received during the course of 2011. In 2012, LHotel Montreal was the top-ranked Canadian destination listed in the 59th spot. Marrol’s Boutique Hotel (Bratislava, Slovakia) earned the top-spot, followed by Hotel Al Codega (Venice, Italy) and Hotel Royal Corin (Costa Rica). This year, 650 hotels from among the more than 150,000 properties available on Expedia.ca have been designated as Insiders’ Select hotels and made the list after receiving a minimum guest review score of 4.0 out of 5.0. On average, the designated hotels on the list earned a guest review score of 4.4 during 2011, the qualifying year. Along with LHotel Montreal, other Canadian hotels ranked by Expedia’s insiders included the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre in Whistler-Blackcomb, B.C. in 64th spot; at 77, the Four Seasons Vancouver; finishing at 91 was the Prince George Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia; and in 93rd spot, the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier in North Vancouver, B.C.
