RIU in the Big Apple

RIU Hotels & Resorts will establish a presence in New York City. The company has entered into a contract to buy land in the heart of Manhattan, just a stone’s throw from Times Square. The Riu Plaza New York Times Square will be situated where 8th Avenue meets 46th Street, surrounded by the most famous theatres on Broadway and next to Restaurant Row. With more than 600 rooms, the five-star Riu Plaza New York Times Square is slated to open in mid-2015. There will be a restaurant, bar, café, gym and executive lounge. All rooms will have wireless Internet access, a coffee machine and mini-bar. The hotel will also offer family rooms and executive rooms, which will form part of the exclusive Crown Level, with extra amenities and free access to the executive lounge. (http://www.riuplaza.com)
