Cousteau set to host Paul Gauguin cruises
In 2013, oceanographer and environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau will be the guest host on four sailings of Paul Gaugin Cruises’ The Gaugin. During the cruises, Cousteau will offer a series of lectures with videos of his work in the world’s oceans and will also accompany guests on several dives. He will be hosting the Feb. 2, 2013, 14-night Marquesas cruise; the Voyages Featuring Guest Host Jean-Michel Cousteau: the June 26, 2013, 10-night Society Islands sailing; the Sept. 21, 2013, 11-night Society Islands itinerary; and the Nov. 2, 2013, 11-night Cook Islands cruise. Also available in 2013 is Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment Youth Program which introduces young travellers (ages 9-17) to the natural wonders of French Polynesia through interactive, hands-on experiences with island ecosystems. The program is available on sailings from June through August and on select holiday cruises for a nominal fee of $299 per child. For more, go to http://www.pgcruises.com.
