Hard Rock planned for Aruba

The Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) reports that plans are underway for the development of a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The four-star hotel will be built on the ruins of the Bushiri Hotel and will include a training facility centre of over 1,000 square metres, with free access for the public. The Bushiri Hotel ruins will be demolished by the end of the year and the area will be completely cleaned up to prepare for the new construction. The new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Aruba is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2014. Aruba’s minister of tourism, transportation and labour, Otmar Oduber said that the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino project “will create a boost in tourism and will bring along new opportunities to this area of the island.” The seven-floor hotel will offer 310 rooms with prices varying from $170 to $280 per night. In addition to the training facility centre, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino developers will also invest in improving the beach between the hotel property and the Tamarijn Beach Hotel, which will serve as a public beach. The beach will be a part of the Linear Park. Go to http://www.aruba.com for more.
