Remembering Jim Proctor
Take a moment today and remember Jim Proctor …
Jim Proctor took his last flight on Saturday July 11, surrounded by his wife and twin daughters. He was 72 years at the time of his death.
Jim was known to many of us in the Travel Industry over many years.
He started his career at Pacific Western Airlines in 1970 working at Vancouver Airport in Customer Service and Airport Operations.
He progressed into Management and worked in the Charter Division as a Sales Manager until 1978.
He then joined Suntours and worked in various responsible positions, until he joined Air Canada Vacations where he worked for many years in Management positions, until he chose to retire.
He was a most interesting character and frequently was known to cause much laughter with some of his persuasive pursuits.
He was much respected by many that worked with him.
Sadly, his last years were extremely challenging and uncomfortable as he endured the pain of serious health issues.
He would be the first to want us to celebrate his life, having shared good times with him.
He left a large footprint in life.
May he Rest in Peace.
From all of us here at Baxter Media are thoughts are with Jim’s family and friends today … he will be missed.
