Let The Games Begin In Jamaica
After arriving at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort yesterday (Oct. 26) the action officially gets underway today in Jamaica as members of the Canadian travel industry kick-off the first of two days on the links at Sandals Golf & Country Club.
Presented by Baxter Travel Media and Sandals Resorts, the 23rd annual Canadian Travel Industry Golf Tournament will see golfers take part in a two-day scramble and skills contest for great prizes, along with enjoying plenty of Red Stripe and jerk chicken on the course.
“We’re delighted by the involvement with Sandals and of course the country of Jamaica – the graciousness of the hospitality, the people,” said David McClung, president, Baxter Travel Media, addressing the crowd gathered for a welcome reception last night. “We’re very proud to be here once again involved in this great tournament. Enjoy the golf, enjoy the friendship, enjoy the camaraderie.”
Travel agents and industry personnel from across Canada are on hand to take part in the tournament, including Air Canada Vacations, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, TPI, Vulcan Vacations and House of Travel.
